Positive: Tucked away amongst a small group of other buildings in a woodland location, this is lovely little cottage, with flagstone floors, shuttered windows and a fine wood-burning stove is charmingly French. It has a lovely big bedroom. There's the added advantage of a lake purposed for wild swimming just a few minute's walk away, trees and lush green grass everywhere. There are places of interest just a short drive away or you can simply stay in the cottage, curl up - inside our out - and read a good book.
Negative: The kitchen area is small and - in an ideal world - could do with a few more work surfaces but it is a wonderfully old cottage and you can't have everything. A microwave is referred to in previous reviews but we never actually laid eyes on it, not that we ever needed one. A minor detail!
