Summary: A well-located property, with delightful views. The accommodation was spacious and the high ceilings added to the airy atmosphere. Bedding was good. However, for the price charged, there were a number of weaknesses: external walls were in need of revamp; main aircon unit was ineffective; internal walls and cabinetry were generally dated or in need of love; tap mixer in one room leaked and dripped. Another bathroom had loose fittings. And, given it was advertised as "bed and breakfast", the breakfast part consisted of tea, coffee, sugar and salt. I wish we had seen the reviews from some of the previous stays before we booked (our bad)! This was our 4th stay in Port Fairy in the past few years, and was also the least satisfying from a quality perspective.
